Effective May 17, 2026. These terms cover SoulBox.io, SoulBox Earth, AI companions, billing, generated media, public sharing, and connected devices.

SoulBox is for AI companionship, fantasy, role play, creative exploration, and assistance. You remain responsible for real-world decisions.

Billing
Stripe managed

Cards, payment methods, billing addresses, and payment disputes are handled by Stripe. SoulBox stores plan and usage state, not card data.

Content
User directed

We do not proactively moderate private fantasy conversations, but third-party AI providers may block some requests and illegal misuse is prohibited.

Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of SoulBox.io, SoulBox Earth, SoulBox mobile or PWA experiences, SoulBox-connected devices, firmware, APIs, media tools, bots, voices, sounds, social features, billing features, and related services operated by Shutter Speed Apps, LLC. By creating an account, signing in, using the service, or connecting a device, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use SoulBox. If you use SoulBox for a company or another organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.

What SoulBox Is

SoulBox is an AI companion, role-play, creativity, productivity, voice, media, and device-control platform. It lets users create and interact with bots, voices, sounds, images, group conversations, external devices, and social features.

SoulBox conversations and outputs are synthetic AI-generated content. Bots are not people, professionals, therapists, doctors, lawyers, financial advisors, emergency responders, or authorities. Even when a bot is configured to speak naturally or stay in character, the experience is fantasy and simulation.

Fantasy, Role Play, and User Responsibility

SoulBox encourages lawful fantasy, role play, creative exploration, companionship, adult-oriented expression where enabled, and AI assistance. You are responsible for your prompts, uploaded content, generated outputs, bot configurations, public sharing, and any decisions you make based on AI conversations.

Do not rely on SoulBox outputs as medical, legal, financial, safety, relationship, mental-health, or other professional advice. AI can be inaccurate, incomplete, emotionally persuasive, outdated, fabricated, or unsuitable for your situation. You must independently verify anything important before acting on it.

Content, Guardrails, and Moderation

SoulBox does not proactively moderate your private fantasy conversations merely because they are adult, strange, emotional, fictional, or role-play oriented. The service is built to allow user-directed AI expression within the boundaries of law, platform integrity, and provider availability.

Some features rely on third-party AI, speech, image, video, transcription, hosting, infrastructure, or payment providers. Those providers may apply their own guardrails, safety filters, rate limits, refusals, or account controls. When a provider blocks a request, SoulBox may try an available fallback provider or model, but some requests may not be processed.

You may not use SoulBox for illegal sexual content, exploitation or abuse of minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, threats, harassment, stalking, doxxing, malware, credential theft, fraud, evasion of security controls, impersonation intended to deceive, or instructions that create real-world harm. We may remove content, disable features, suspend accounts, preserve records, or cooperate with lawful requests when necessary to protect users, the service, providers, or the public.

Accounts and Security

You are responsible for your account, credentials, OAuth access, linked devices, invite links, bots, voices, media, and any activity performed through your account. Keep credentials secure and tell us promptly if you believe your account or device token was compromised.

You may not sell, transfer, share, or sublicense your account in a way that bypasses plan limits, security controls, age restrictions, or access controls. We may require re-authentication, revoke sessions, rotate device credentials, or limit access if we detect risk.

Plans, Billing, Upgrades, Downgrades, and Disputes

Paid plans, renewals, upgrades, downgrades, trials, coupons, invoices, taxes, payment methods, refunds, chargebacks, and payment disputes are processed by Stripe or another payment processor we identify. SoulBox receives limited subscription status, plan, invoice, and payment-state information needed to unlock features and reconcile usage. We do not store full card numbers, card security codes, or raw payment-method credentials.

Plan upgrades may take effect immediately and may be prorated by Stripe according to Stripe billing rules and the plan configuration in effect at the time. Downgrades or cancellations may take effect at the end of the current billing period unless the checkout or billing portal states otherwise. Usage already incurred before a downgrade, cancellation, failed payment, or dispute may still count against your account.

If you dispute a charge, contact us and Stripe promptly. We may suspend paid features, account access, or high-cost generation while a payment is unpaid, reversed, under dispute, suspected fraudulent, or otherwise unresolved. Refund eligibility depends on applicable law, Stripe records, plan terms, promotional terms, and whether service resources were consumed.

Usage Limits, Quotas, and Resource Controls

Plans may include limits for bots, public follows, voices, text generation, TTS, image generation, video generation, storage, external devices, queues, rate limits, concurrency, or other resource-heavy features. SoulBox calculates limits from account settings, plan configuration, billing period, usage logs, generated media records, queue jobs, provider responses, and operational counters.

Usage can be counted when a job is requested, queued, started, completed, retried, failed after provider work, cached, regenerated, or otherwise consumes platform or provider resources. We may throttle, queue, delay, reject, disable, or require upgrade for requests that exceed plan limits, abuse shared infrastructure, or create reliability risk.

Bots, Voices, Media, Devices, and Public Sharing

You are responsible for bots, personas, prompts, memories, actions, sounds, voices, images, videos, public profiles, social activity, external device settings, and other content you create or publish. If you make a bot, profile, sound, image, voice, or other item public, other users may view, follow, use, interact with, or report it depending on the feature.

You must have the rights and permissions needed for uploaded or generated content, including voice samples, likenesses, names, images, audio, text, and prompts. Do not upload or generate content that violates another person’s rights or applicable law.

Ownership and License

As between you and SoulBox, you retain whatever rights you lawfully have in the content you submit. You grant SoulBox a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, process, transform, transmit, display, store, cache, analyze, and otherwise use your content as needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, bill for, and improve the service.

SoulBox software, designs, interfaces, service names, documentation, workflows, infrastructure, and platform technology remain owned by SoulBox, Shutter Speed Apps, LLC, or their licensors. You may not reverse engineer, scrape, clone, overload, or use the service to build a competing platform except where law expressly allows.

Disclaimers, Liability, and Indemnity

SoulBox is provided as is and as available. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, provider availability, specific outputs, emotional outcomes, device compatibility, model behavior, moderation outcomes, or permanent retention of content. AI providers, networks, browsers, mobile operating systems, payment providers, and device firmware can fail or change outside our control.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoulBox and Shutter Speed Apps, LLC disclaim implied warranties and will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or lost-profit damages. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid SoulBox for the service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

You agree to defend and indemnify SoulBox and Shutter Speed Apps, LLC from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the service, your content, your public sharing, your connected devices, your violation of these terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

Changes, Suspension, and Contact

We may update these terms as SoulBox evolves. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice through the service, website, billing flow, or account messaging. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access for nonpayment, security risk, legal risk, provider requirements, abuse, repeated disputes, or conduct that harms SoulBox, other users, providers, or infrastructure. Questions about these terms can be sent to contact@soulbox.io.
